Biography:

My name is Amy Cohen, and I’m the speech-language pathologist at Skaggs Elementary. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Texas A&M University and a Master of Science in Communication Disorders from The University of Texas at Dallas. I’ve been practicing as an SLP since 2018 and truly love being a Skaggs Star!

Speech-language pathologists (SLPs) work to prevent, assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in children and adults. Here at Skaggs, my role is to help students build effective communication skills that support their success in and out of the classroom.
