3rd Grade Teachers

Elizabeth Ashley-Vasquez
My name is Elizabeth Ashley-Vasquez. I have been a proud Skaggs Star since 2005. I have taught special education, 5th grade, and 3rd grade (twice!) at Skaggs. Prior to teaching in Plano, I taught 6th grade in Chiba, Japan.
I grew up in the tiny town of Buffalo, TX and attended Lyon College in Batesville, AR. I hold degrees in education, physchology, and respiratory science.
My son attended Skaggs from K through 5th grade, so I know as a teacher and a parent, what a wonderful place Skaggs is to learn and grow!

Christine Lim
Ms. Christine Lim
Hello! My name is Christine Lim, and I have been teaching at Skaggs Elementary since 2024. I currently teach 3rd grade and have been working with this amazing age group for over five years. I have a deep love for teaching and passionate about helping my students grow both academically and personally.
I was born and raised in Houston, Texas, and earned my degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Houston. Shortly after graduating, I began my teaching career in Spring Branch ISD.
In 2024, I made the exciting move to Dallas and joined Skaggs. I absolutely love being part of the Skaggs community. It's a place where everyone works together as a team to support one another and help every child succeed.
I’m looking forward to a wonderful school year filled with learning, growth, and joyful moments!

Lisha Resser
My name is Lisha Resser, and I have been teaching for over 15 years. I began my career teaching right after college and taught for 10 years before stepping away to raise my three sons. During that time, I continued working in education as a substitute teacher for seven years, which gave me the chance to stay connected to the classroom in many different ways.
Since 2021, I’ve been back in the classroom full-time, and I truly love teaching 3rd grade. Watching students grow in confidence, curiosity, and independence is the best part of my job.
When I’m not at school, I enjoy spending time with my family and cheering on my kids as they follow their own paths. I’m so excited to partner with families this year to make it a wonderful experience for every student in our class!
